Most desirable mods on daggers.
Hi everyone,
Just a few minutes ago, I got a pair of req. 9 gold max damage 15^50 Chromium Shards. The bad thing is, the prefix and suffix mods suck, and I want to boost its price so I can get the most out of it. So from your point of view, what are the most desirable prefix (Sundering, Vampiric, Zealous, that kinda stuff) and suffix (of Fortitude, of Defense, yeah you get the idea) mods on a pair of daggers? Thanks, fujin |

Zealous Daggers of Fortitude and Zealous Daggers of Enchanting are ALL you will ever need.
Just stick some Zealous tangs on the shards and a +30 Fortitude handle. Those ones are for general use with most Assassin builds. When you get another pair of nice daggers, stick another Zealous on and a 20% longer enchants handle. THOSE daggers are for Enchant-heavy builds. Simple as that. Same goes for selling 'em. Everyone wants the Zealous daggers of Fortitude. Last edited by SotiCoto; Sep 05, 2007 at 01:54 PM // 13:54.. |

Yeah, zealous is very desirable. Though vampiric can be useful, as can elemental for conjure x builds.

You should go over and check Ventaris. Simply adding mods will not boost the inherent value of the item. Personally, I think its better to sell a weapon as clean as possible. There have been so many times I've wanted to buy an item such as a sword, but didnt want to pay the extra 10s of k for a fortitude mod or sundering mod so I skipped over.
If you have the mods already, just sell them by themself. If you don't have the mods, don't bother buying them, people know the inherent value of the daggers, and the inherent value of the mods, and are not going to pay extra just because they are added together. The only time mods add value to a weapon are when its like a 15>50 on a non-inscriptable weapon. |

I also had 2 20/20 mods, a +30 health and 3 15^50 mods. I kept all 7 spears clean, but advertised that I had 7 20/20 & +30 perfect spears. When people asked to see them, I would show them the 7 spears and say they can pick their favorite and I will trade the 20/20 and +30 also in the deal. Not everyone wants a 20/20 or a +30. I ended up selling 3 of the spears before I had a taker on the perfect one. When the guy wanted a perfect, I traded him the spear, the 20/20 mod and the +30 mod all at once for the agreed upon price (he already had a 15^50). It pays to give your customers options. I agree with the above person, if you have an awesome req9 weapon, but the inscription is crap (like a highly salvageable inscription), many people will refuse the item because it has a "lousy mod." Of course the mod can be changed, but I surmise that most of these people might be newer players, and not know this. If I change out the inscription for a 14^50 or a 15^50, the item goes quick. |

I'd personally prefer a 20% enchanting mod. I'm actually looking for such a mod myself.
As for the prefix, to me, it doesn't matter. Energy's not an issue with good critical strikes, health isn't overly an issue if you know what you're doing and sundering isn't that important either since most of your damage comes from skills. Some people would use vampiric to get just that little bit extra damage into the mix while others use sundering. Although sundering does appeal to a larger market and would therefore sell easier. Suffix, I can definitely say I'd sooner choose enchanting over defense or health. |

zealous for sure
15^50 is useless. go for +5 energy. the extra percent effects the base damage and daggers have the lowest of any weapon. of defense or of enchanting are your best friends. |
